Building a Custom Stack for Your Routine

The Fully Custom Stack mode in Magic Stack Pro gives you complete control over every card position in the deck. This is useful to get the popular modern stacks you’ve purchased and learned from your favorite magic creators into Magic Stack Pro.

Once you’ve go the stack defined, you can use the complications engine to add shuffles and cuts before you start your routine.

Using the Custom Stack Screen

From the home screen, tap Fully Custom Stack. You will see a 52-position grid representing every slot in the deck from top to bottom. The grid starts in New Deck Order by default.

  • Card Grid: The default mode. Click and hold to enable a simple drag and drop interface. Reposition your cards as desired, and click “Done”.
  • Card Pickers: Use the familiar picker wheels to define your choices.
  • Paste Text: Input your card choices in order as a comma-separated list. AS,7D,QC,9H, etc… When complete, tap “Parse Cards” to give them a visual suit icon for easier verification.
  • Import File: Import simple text files with the comma-separated list. Great for importing your paid stack systems.

Choosing Your Operations

Once your target arrangement is complete, add the sequence of faros and cuts you plan to perform. Think about what looks natural to your audience — a few shuffles and a cut or two is more convincing than a long, complicated sequence.

Magic Stack Pro supports out-faros, in-faros, standard cuts at 26, and custom cuts at any depth. Mixing operation types opens up arrangements that are unreachable with a single faro variant alone.

Calculating and Saving

Tap Calculate and Magic Stack Pro reverse-engineers the starting deck. The result is the exact arrangement you need to set up before your performance. Each step shows which card is visible at the cut or shuffle point — these are your performer cues, the landmarks that tell you the stack is tracking correctly.

Save your stack with a name that describes the routine it supports — “Four Aces Reveal” is more useful than “Custom Stack 7” when you are backstage and need to find it quickly.
